8/10 – Our sister sangha ZCB/Clare Sangha will be hosting a zazenkai in Lutherville, MD. Please see the email sent on July 17th for details.

8/11 – Nick will be delivering this week’s talk.

8/18 – Kaigetsu will be giving a dharma talk in the ongoing series “Something about Zen”.

8/24 – We will host a zazenkai starting at 10am until 4:30pm. Doors open at 9:30 and again at 1:30 for lunch and 1/2 day. Please respond to this email to register. Dana is recommended but not required.

8/25 – No sitting due to the previous day’s zazenkai.

While the final details for our zazenkai in August are still up in the air, we have another practice opportunity for anyone who might be interested.

ZCB/Clare Sangha will be holding a zazenkai on August 10th, from 10am to 5 pm at the Towson UU church (1710 Dulaney Valley Rd, Lutherville, MD 21093). Suggested donation  is $20. Please email me (keith@kws.io) if you’re interested before the end of the month so I can let the folks at ZCB know how many of us they can expect. If there’s enough interest, carpool options will be available.

Finally, please stay tuned for more information about the Red Rose Sangha August zazenkai, we should have an update in the next week or so.

We would like to hold a zazenkai during the month of August. The possible dates have been narrowed down to Saturday 8/17 or Saturday 8/24. Whichever date works for the most people will be the day we hold the zazenkai on. Please email keith@kws.io with your date preference. Please respond by July 3rd.

June 2: Sangetsu Sensei’s talk is, “Doin’ the 108.”

Dylan will receive his mala beads in the 108 Ceremony that evening.

June 9: Daiji’s Precept talk is, “Not Discussing Other’s Errors or Faults.”

Afterwards, we’ll ruthlessly critique his presentation.

June 16: Sangetsu Sensei’s talk is, “The Precepts as a Moral Compass.”

June 23: Getsuki’s Precept talk is, “Not Misusing Intoxicants.”

June 30: Daisetsu will be speaking about the Precept of Not Speaking Ill of the Three Treasures

Reminder: At the July 6 ZCB Zazenkai, Nick and Keith will be receiving their rakusus in a Jukai Ceremony. Sensei Seiryu Blackman will be the Preceptor. Please support our Dharma brothers with your attendance. For those interested in carpooling, please let Sensei know.

3/24 – We will have the 49 Day Memorial Ceremony for Melissa Hunt

3/31 – Daisetsu (Clair) will be giving the final dharma talk of the month entitled “The Little Salt Doll.”
Jukai text study will be held before the sitting, starting at 4:00pm
